Vision & Age
Your Changing Eyes
Keep your eye on pleasure
You rely on your sight to enjoy life to the fullest and to get your work done. Yet, over time, your vision may change. You may need more light to see. You may have a harder time differentiating among shades of blue and green. And you may have trouble focusing on things that are near. Fortunately, there are lots of products to help your continued good sight.
How you can help
Be sure to visit the eye doctor regularly and learn about potential vision problems. By being well-informed, you can learn to recognize signs of trouble and possibly cure or slow a sight-threatening disease.
Budget for proper eye care
Regular eye checks are recommended every 2 years (unless advised more frequently by your eye care practitioner). Eye examinations are either directly billed to Medicare or are partially reimbursed through Medicare.
If you have ancillary or extras coverage with your medical insurer, you maybe covered towards the cost of spectacles or contact lenses.
